If after 400 tries you still haven't gotten it, there's something fundamental you're doing wrong on your class. You just have to drain life to survive, seed every couple of GCDs, and the win should be inevitable. It's a much easier time than the specs that have to kill Raest with Karam chasing them while dealing with hands/runes at the same time. It never gets any more difficult at this point, and you can keep the loop going forever because Raests damage never increases. Once you kill Karam, you literally just keep Raest dotted, and spend every 3rd~ gcd on keeping corruption on the add spawns with a Seed of Corruption, and then a drain life. You die in basically 5-6~ shadowbolts from Raest, but your drain life can heal you to full, and you have dark pact, unending resolve, and mortal coil for some leeway. After he dies, the only mechanics are literally runes (that you use a /petmove macro to move your pet to) and the damage that Raest does since he enrages.

If you still want to give it a couple attempts, run Inevitable Demise, and when Karam activates for the last time, focus on killing him instead of Raest. Mhmm, I would say aff lock is one of the least gear-dependent ones because it's one of the two specs (other than balance) that can kill Karam. Grats to anyone who managed to get the mount, you must be extremely skilled players. Sure it will come back during the Timewalking event but all this effort spent over the last few weeks feels horrible. By now I would estimate that I had close to 400 attempts on my warlock without being successful at the challenge, and I'm not going to lie, I feel quite sad and hopeless now that it's coming to and end. I even watched countless tutorials, guides and attempts which really made it look so easy.Īll in all, I was consistently staying alive quite late into the scenarios but always ended up becoming overwhelmed, losing focus on what was important and just dying. I had also downloaded weakauras and addons to help me time everything, as well as setting up my ui and doing any other minor improvement/additions that would benefit me in the challenge. After the initial week I knew all of the mechanics off by heart. That said, It was an extremely painful and difficult experience and for the life of me I just couldn't understand why I was so bad. I had attempted the challenge on all specializations but the one I made most progress on was probably Affliction. My goal was to complete it on my Warlock class as it is my main and I really liked the transmog appearance. I don't really have loads of time playing WoW because of work and other personals reasons so I would say between 1-2 hours every other day was my contribution towards it.
#Wow affliction warlock mage tower cheese Patch
I've started playing wow back in the beginning of Shadowlands Patch 9.1 and as for the challenge, I started attempting it within the first few days of its release. I wanted to give my feedback on the Timewalking Mage Tower challenge experience as a fairly new player.
